Something: Durham

在都柏林的最後一餐就在Lillian家吃辛拉麵。超感謝你的啊！！！！！Lillian！！！

The last dinner I had in Dublin was Korean instant noodles at Lillian's flat. I was so good!! A million thanks to you LillIan!!

待在舒服的地方很棒，Lillian說我可以在她家待一晚，可惜我早上6:25要飛。雖然Lillian的室友Eric說我可以半夜在去搭公車，但我還是覺得很危險（半夜在都柏林亂晃？別開玩笑啦！！）

It was nice to stay at a cozy place. Lillian offered to let me stay in their flat for one night. Unfortunately, I had to take my flight at 6:25 a.m. Though Eric, one of Lillian's flatmates, said that I could take the bus to the airport in the midnight, I still thought it would be dangerous (midnight in Dublin?! Seriously?!).

這次我搭的是聯航Ryanairs，他們真的很邪惡（我在Galway的室友早就警告過我了）。他們嚴格控管行李重量，每個乘客只能帶一件行李登機。我早就買了兩個袋子，一個20公斤，一個15公斤。我四點去秤重，地勤看到我就說：「你有三個行李。」我幾乎快看到她邪惡的笑容了！但我從容不迫的跟她說：「我買了兩個袋子。」行李重達23公斤，所以就要把一些東西放到背包中。我秤了三次重量，每次我沒達到標準，地勤感覺就越高興。不過最後我還是成功破關！！哈哈，Ryanairs，我贏了！

I flew with Ryanairs, a budget airline. They were REALLY mean. (My roommate in Galway had warned me of this). They have very strict rules about luggage. Each passenger can only carry one item when boarding. I'd bought two bags for my checked luggage - one for 20kg and the other for15 kg. At 4 a.m., I went to counter to weigh my luggage. "You had three bags," said the staff member at the counter. I could even saw her evil smile! But I elegantly said to her "Oh, I bought 2 bags." My luggage weighed 23kg, so I had to put something into my backpack. I weighed three times. The staff member seemed to be happier everytime I failed to reduce the weight my luggage. Finally, I got everything done! Haha, Ryanairs!! Take that!!!

早餐在星巴巴喝熱巧克力和帕尼尼，帕尼尼很好吃，真是出乎我的意料。

Had hot chocolate and panini for breakfast at Starbucks. The panini was surprisingly good.

航程很短，不到一個小時。

The flight from Dublin to Newcastle was quite short, taking less than one hour.

一到新堡，我就拖著行李在機場亂晃找海關，最後我問櫃檯說要怎麼入關，他說；「你已經入關了，門就在那啊。」不久之後學校就招了一台計程車把我運到學校。計程車耶！！！一趟要快50英鎊！！（學校買單！！！）

On arriving Newcastle, I started to find where the customs channels were. I towed my luggage, wandering in the airport for a while. Finally, I asked a staff member where I could leave the airport. "The door is right there," he said. No one had checked my passport, and I was in the UK! What?! Never mind. The University hired a taxi for me after a moment. A taxi!!! It cost nearly 50 pounds!!!!!! (The Univeristy paid the bill!!!)

於是我就到了Ustinov College。杜倫大學的各個學院很有名，總共有16個學院。別把學院（college）和（school）搞混了。School是學術學院，像是心理學院就是School of Psychology，而college則不是。其中Ustinov就是替研究生特別設的學院。

Here I am at the Ustinov College. Durham University is famous for its collegiate system. There are 16 colleges under the Univeristy. Each student belongs to one college. Do not confuse a college with a school. A school, for instance, School of Psychology is an academic department while a college is not. The Ustinov College is specifically catered to the need for postgraduate students.
